Warfighters from Five Eyes (FVEY) partner nations, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and the United States, convened in Halifax Sept. 21 for the commencement of the annual Maritime Warfare Working Group (MWWG), which runs through Sept. 25.

U.S. and Canadian forces will conduct joint maneuvers in the Bering Sea, Sept. 18-22, approximately 100 nautical miles north of Dutch Harbor, under the command and control of U.S. Northern Command and Alaskan Command’s Operation TUNDRA MERLIN.

The Armed Forces of the Phillippines, US Pacific Command and Canadian Armed Forces conducted the 20th Multilateral Maritime Cooperative Activity on Sept. 12–13 in the Sulu Sea, strengthening interoperability, maritime security and coordination through joint sea and air exercises.

Maritime forces from the Royal Australian Navy (RAN), Royal Canadian Navy (RCN), Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF), Royal New Zealand Air Force (RNZAF), Republic of Korea Navy (ROKN), and U.S. Navy (USN) are conducting cooperative maritime exercise Pacific Vanguard 2026.
