HMCS Regina aborted a planned Evolved Sea Sparrow Block II live-fire at Exercise RIMPAC 2026, off Hawaii, after drone target hardware failed, but the crew still extracted most of the training value from months of preparation.

In the waters of Coronation Gulf near Cambridge Bay, Nunavut, the Canadian Coast Guard icebreaker CCGS Des Groseilliers and the Royal Canadian Navy’s newest Arctic and Offshore Patrol Vessel, HMCS Robert Hampton Gray, recently wrapped up a multi-day joint security exercise with the RCMP.
