7. MOBEX

A night time MOB-X, a man overboard exercise, have the Chief Boatswains Mate Dale Warren and Leading Seamen Sandra Nash, holding the recovery line, standing by to receive the seaboat with Oscar safely inside. Oscar is the name given to the manikin that is thrown overboard for a MOB-X. The name comes from flag Oscar, hoisted to signal other ships of a man overboard. ©1998 Shaun Perry.
