The History of HMCS CHALEUR (1st)

An RCMP patrol vessel transferred to the Royal Canadian Navy in September 1939. Renamed Chaleur I and stationed at Saint Jean on Ile d'Orleans. Used to inspect ships in the St. Lawrence River heading to Quebec City. In 1945 she was declared surplus and turned over to CADC on 8 August 1945. She was sold 23 August 1946 and finally dismantled in 1947.
