Significance

This badge uses the Malamute sled dog from the arms of the Yukon Territory. The wavy diagonal of blue and gold refers to the Yukon River along which gold deposits have been found.

Remarks

Yukon is a member of the Mackenzie class of destroyer escorts. She was commissioned in May 1963 and wears pennant 263.
