10. Fire Exercise
Fire exercises are held weekly on board ship, as fires are the biggest threat sailors face during peace time. Members of the fire attack team have less then 6 minutes to dress in protective clothing and a breathing apparatus once the fire alarm sounds. Able Seamen Melanie Nadeau, as a result of dressing in under 6 minutes, tries to free her hair caught in one of the mask’s straps.
