3. Lieutenant-Commander Doug Bancroft
Lieutenant Commander Doug Bancroft, the first Commanding Officer of HMCS Yellowknife, returned to his civilian job as a Meteorologist for Environment Canada turning over the ship to the Executive Officer Lieutenant Commander Grant Bannister on the 30 June 98.
