Significance

This ship's badge uses one of the devices found in the civic crest of Preston Ontario. The two right hands clasped in a handshake are shown upon a heraldic fountain or spring as a reference to Preston (Health) Springs for which the town is noted. An indication of Preston's maritime association is the four tridents pointing in the principal directions from the central device. This suggests that the seas of the world are the home of this ship, and that wherever required, thither she would go.
